April 10, 2007—Residents of Ranongga island in the South Pacific Ocean sit on a massive coral reef that was exposed by the magnitude 8.1 earthquake that struck in the Solomon Islands last week, sparking a deadly tsunami.
Blimey. The solution to global warming just stepped up and kicked us in the ass. More earthquakes everyone!
“These are not unusual occurrences for an earthquake of this magnitude,” said Rick MacPherson of the Coral Reef Alliance in San Francisco, California.
Double Blimey! The things we didn’t know!
Next they’ll be telling us global warming isn’t caused by man-made emissions but just a natural occurence due to competing attributes of the sun, sea, and sky and is nothing to get all hot and bothered about.
